Eslöv Municipality offers mother tongue instruction for students from grade 1 through upper secondary school. The instruction is provided in 25 different languages and aims to support students' linguistic development, strengthen their cultural identity, and equip them with tools to succeed both in school and in life. Mother tongue instruction is available at several schools and units within the municipality.

Your Role

This position is a fixed-term appointment as a mother tongue teacher in Portuguese at 20% hours, for the period August 13, 2026 – August 9, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Your duties will include, among other things:

• Plan, document, and conduct instruction in Portuguese as a mother tongue
• Conduct study guidance and monitor students' learning progress
• Collaborate with educators and contribute to mapping students' needs and development
• Maintain close contact and collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues

Your Experience

• Very good proficiency in Portuguese
• Digital competence to conduct teaching
• Experience as a mother tongue teacher or study guide in Portuguese
• A B-class driver's license is required, and having your own car is an advantage

Additional qualifications include:

• Teacher education with eligibility to teach in mother tongue subjects
• Good knowledge of school curricula and the ability to translate them into practical teaching

Salary between 32,000 - 39,400 SEK depending on experience and responsibility. The final salary is determined individually based on a comprehensive assessment of your educational background, previous experience, and the areas in which you have previously worked.
