Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for you who are a teacher for grades 7–9 with qualifications in Spanish and Swedish to join Mellanhedsskolan.
Your duties include planning, implementing, and assessing teaching based on the school's governing documents. At the school, we work with a clear lesson structure with formulated learning objectives and actively work to make students' learning visible. You collaborate closely with colleagues to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and you actively participate in the school's joint development work. The role also includes mentorship for a class in grades 7-9. As a mentor, you follow up on your mentees' knowledge development and collaborate closely with the students and their guardians. You will be part of a team of teachers where you together plan, take responsibility for, and assess the students' education and development. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

Qualifications
You who apply are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 7-9 in Spanish and Swedish. You have previous experience working as a teacher in your subjects and towards grades 7-9.
You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. It is an advantage if you are qualified to teach Swedish as a second language. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. You adapt your teaching based on the students' needs and actively work for an accessible learning environment. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace
Mellanhedsskolan has operations for students from preschool class to grade 9, as well as adapted primary school for grades 1-9. Approximately 1,150 students attend the school. In the autumn of 2022, Mellanhedsskolan took over the premises that were previously Slottstadens skola. This means that Mellanhedsskolan has operations at two school units. Mellanheden 1 has operations for grades F-3, while Mellanheden 2 (formerly Slottsstadens skola) has operations for grades 4-9.
