About the School

Practical Gymnasium Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at the school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and fun learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Property, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role

The position is a permanent employment with 100% working hours, starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students within Construction and Infrastructure, specializing in Carpenters. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in Construction and Infrastructure. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who lack teacher certification have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The job duties include contact with the business community, as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is meritorious.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
