Welcome to Spängerskolan, a single-track school (grades F-9) with approximately 260 students located in the scenic area of Arkelstorp.
Through successful teaching, guided by the vision "Learning for life – together it is natural," we work towards student learning and good goal fulfillment. Student health work begins in the classroom. The Pedagogical Development Group, led by the principals, drives development work at the school. This focus occurs in close collaboration with the school's student health team, consisting of a special needs educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, and principals. School doctors and school psychologists are also part of our team.
Our long-term focus is on learning environments that promote learning for the individual within the group, study strategies, collaboration with homes, interactions, and good relationships.
Your role with us
You will teach subjects for which you are qualified. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations for students and adapt teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interests.
Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trust-based approach. In your role, you stay up to date with events in the outside world and the daily lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group/school. You also share joint responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.
If you are new to teaching, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work. Unqualified teachers may conduct teaching but cannot be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.
Who are we looking for?
We are primarily looking for you with a teaching certificate and qualification to teach in grades 4-6 in mathematics and Swedish. We would also like you to have qualifications in English, Social Studies (SO), or Natural Sciences (NO) within the scope of your certification. In the second instance, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above-mentioned subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level.
We want you to have experience working as a teacher or experience conducting teaching within primary school, and that you have worked with young people aged 10-13. You have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise.
You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calmness, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.
A success factor is that you can build trust-based relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.
Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on set goals.
As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed in the ethical principles for teachers, and you have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.
To enable us to assess your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certificate. If no qualified certified teachers are available, you as an unqualified teacher can be employed on a fixed-term basis according to the Education Act. When we wish to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
