About the School

Practical Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both inside the school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and fun training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Property, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, as well as Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Assignment

The position is a one-year temporary contract with 80% employment, starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in Sales and Service. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in Sales and Service. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who lack teacher certification have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest way possible. The job duties include contact with business life, as a large part of the students' study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is meritorious.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
