Musikgrundskolan Synkopen and Slottsvångsskolan in Helsingborg are looking for an engaged and competent teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7–9. We are two schools that are now gradually merging to build a common organization with a shared cultural profile where music, singing, dance, and drama are natural parts of everyday life and learning to develop students' ability to achieve higher goals.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, you are responsible for teaching in grades 7–9 at both schools. You are part of a joint work team and move naturally between Synkopen and Slottsvångsskolan as part of the assignment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • planning and conducting varied teaching adapted to students' different prerequisites
  • grading and documenting knowledge development continuously
  • conducting development talks and contacting guardians
  • participating in work team meetings and joint development work
  • collaborating with the student health team regarding students in need of support
  • contributing to a safe learning environment in classrooms and common areas

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • have a teaching license with eligibility in Mathematics and at least one Natural Science subject for grades 7–9
  • have experience planning, conducting, and assessing teaching based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22)
  • work systematically with formative assessment and individual adaptation
  • communicate clearly and professionally with students, colleagues, and guardians

It is an advantage if you:

  • have experience teaching students with Swedish as a second language
  • have an interest in aesthetic learning processes and multimodal learning
