Job Description

Prästamosseskolan is looking for you who are a special education teacher and a certified primary school teacher, and who want to work with students in the school's special education groups at the lower secondary level.

You will work together with dedicated teachers and pedagogues in both the Special Education Unit (SU) group and the Flex group. The task of these groups is to provide our students, who need education in a smaller context, with the opportunity to have an accessible and adapted learning environment that stimulates learning and goal achievement. You plan, conduct, and follow up on your teaching in both groups.

In your role as a special education teacher, you have an overall responsibility for the special education groups in close collaboration with other colleagues. You conduct pedagogical assessments, follow-ups, and write action plans for the students included in the SU group.

The role includes cooperation with the school's other special education teachers/special pedagogues, and you are part of the student health team where student health services and school management work in a cross-professional manner to jointly work for students' health, development, and learning. You are involved in the school's systematic quality work with a focus on accessible learning environments, school attendance, and students' knowledge results.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified primary school teacher with a degree as a special education teacher or alternatively a special pedagogue. It is meritorious if you have experience from previous work in an SU group and/or some form of flex group.

You believe in every student's ability and meet them with a solution-focused approach where development and opportunities are at the center. Your didactic and pedagogical skills and positive attitude contribute to collaboration in the joint work for an accessible learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital and compensatory tools. Through a professional and flexible approach, you work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, your colleagues at the school, as well as external actors.
