About the Wing
The 71st and 72nd Combat Wing Divisions are two of the Swedish Air Force's JAS divisions, based at the Skaraborg Wing (F7) in Såtenäs. The divisions handle tasks within national defense as well as international missions.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of Coordinator, you hold a central position at a combat wing division. Your primary tasks include planning, coordinating, and establishing daily flight schedules together with the Flight Commander. You are also responsible for monitoring ongoing flights regarding flight planning, aircraft status, weather, other airspace activity, etc. The role also involves coordinating the division's ground operations.
You serve as a key contact point for external actors, adjacent units, and as support for the Division Commander and the Flight Commander. Responsibility for materials and publications is included. Operations at a combat wing division are dynamic and often fast-paced, requiring the ability to handle rapid changes. The position may also include standby duty.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education with passing grades.
- Experience working as a flight coordinator within a combat wing division.
- Relevant and current experience in transport planning, transport management, traffic coordination, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
- Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
- Swedish citizenship.
Personal Qualities
The position is characterized by a high degree of personal responsibility, where you are expected to be self-reliant, driven, and unpretentious. You should have a high ability to handle varying tasks at a varying pace without losing focus, and to prioritize incoming information under time pressure. Since the work involves significant collaboration, you should have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly, as much of the contact with other parties is conducted over the phone. Due to the unique nature of the operations, a large part of the necessary training will be conducted on-site (on-the-job training).
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
To ensure the agency's mission is successful, all employees are expected to act according to the established values.
