Borås is a cultural city in constant development. The Cultural Administration works with and is responsible for a large part of the cultural offerings. Our portfolio includes the Borås Libraries, Borås Art Museum, the Arts School, the Textile Museum and Borås Museum, Borås City Theatre, and Bio Röda Kvarn. The Cultural Administration is also responsible for program activities for adults, young people, and children, distributes grants to cultural associations and events, awards cultural scholarships, and handles issues regarding artistic embellishment and cultural heritage. More than 230 people work here to enrich the lives of the residents of Borås.
About the RoleThe ticket and information desk is a central part of Borås Culture House. As a receptionist at the front desk, you have a significant role towards all visitors of the house. You will be part of the Borås City Theatre organization, which offers a dynamic workplace where you have the opportunity to influence, develop, and put your own stamp on both work methods and audience interactions. You will become part of a competent and engaged team that together contributes to a lively, open, and creative house where community and professionalism go hand in hand. A place where we take responsibility for each other, for the audience, and for our visitors.
ResponsibilitiesAs a front desk employee, you will meet with Culture House visitors daily. You will assist them with ticket sales, information, and referrals. Renting out premises is also part of your work, as well as preparing premises for booked meetings such as board meetings, etc. Various back-office tasks are also included.
QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have a very high sense of service and appreciate the personal meeting with the visitor. You find it easy to collaborate with different people and functions, have good prioritization skills, and are skilled at working in a structured manner. You can easily adapt information to the recipient and switch between different tasks. Furthermore, you learn different systems easily and have experience working with digital tools. You can express yourself well in speech and writing. A high school education, preferably with a focus on hospitality and tourism, and several years of professional experience within service and customer interaction are required.
It is an advantage if you have experience in audience work, as well as experience working in the ticketing systems Tixly and Nortic.

Other InformationThe position is a parental leave replacement for 100% for approximately 1 year. Working hours are scheduled with both evening and weekend work. Flexibility and adaptation to the needs of the operations and visitors are required.
