Description

The introduction of the activity requirement represents an important step for more Gothenburg residents to receive support to enter work or studies and strengthen their opportunities for self-sufficiency. Employment and Adult Education plays a central role in this development work and is now seeking an experienced project manager who wants to lead and coordinate the implementation of the activity requirement and contribute to creating sustainable working methods in close collaboration with other departments in Gothenburg City as well as other actors.

Responsibilities

As a project manager, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving the implementation of the activity requirement within Employment and Adult Education in accordance with the city's processes and the department's mandate. The role involves close collaboration with project managers and representatives from relevant departments, primarily social services, to develop common working methods and processes and ensure equal application. The assignment also includes environmental scanning and collaboration with external actors to identify and develop their potential contributions to the implementation of the activity requirement.

You are responsible for communication efforts related to the implementation in close collaboration with relevant functions and work to ensure that affected target groups receive clear, relevant, and accessible information. Furthermore, you analyze legislation and national reforms that affect the operations and assess their consequences for the department's working methods, processes, and strategic direction.

The role also includes participating in the development of related processes, such as labor market initiatives, to ensure coordinated and effective implementation. You monitor the implementation, identify areas for development, and contribute to establishing long-term and sustainable working methods within the operations.

The position is a one-year project employment with a chance of extension.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education of at least 180 higher education credits in fields such as social sciences, public administration, behavioral sciences, or another area that the employer considers equivalent. For the role, several years of experience in change management and experience working within labor market operations are required. You must also have previously worked in a politically governed organization. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the social services' mandate and conditions. The role requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You will be merit-worthy if you have documented experience of qualified project management and implementation work within the public sector.

You actively contribute to common goals and work to ensure that the assignment is carried out in the best possible way. You can see your work as part of a larger context and understand how your own work affects and is affected by other parts of the organization, collaborating across organizational boundaries to create value.
