Pilträdsskolan is a free school with approximately 330 students, emphasizing knowledge, safety, and the unique value of each student. The school was founded in 1994 and provides education from preschool class (F) through grade 9, as well as after-school activities. Adjacent to the school is Pilträdets Preschool for children aged 1–5. The school is managed by Stiftelsen Källan in Västerås and is located in Vallby.

We are now looking for an inspiring Science and Technology (NO) teacher for the lower secondary school (grades 7–9) who, together with us, wants to shape the future and contribute to a meaningful school experience for our students. We require a university degree and teaching certification (Lower Secondary Teacher 4–9, Teacher for Older Ages, or Lower Secondary Teacher), subject competence in Science and Technology for grades 7–9, and experience working in primary and lower secondary schools. We also expect you to be familiar with the curriculum, course plans, the Swedish National Agency for Education's guidelines, and the operations of the compulsory school system. You are responsible, independent, take initiative, and have good collaborative skills.

As a teacher with us, you will collaborate, plan, and evaluate teaching in consultation with colleagues and students. You are skilled in and interested in continuously developing leadership and stimulation, as well as making additional adjustments in your teaching. We actively work with motivating and value-creating teaching methods, as well as TMO/IBIS. You are computer literate. You also have a genuine interest in working with students' development and learning, see opportunities, are flexible, dare to try new working methods, and have good experience in collaboration.
