Our educational activities are located in our three urban areas: Ramnäs, Virsbo, and Surahammar. It includes preschool, preschool class, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, after-school center, and youth club.

The operation is characterized by an inclusive approach, good structure, and clear expectations. The goal is for the students to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites and achieve eligibility for national upper secondary programs. Together we work to create the best prerequisites for the individual, the group, and the organization, where school development and collegial learning are natural parts of the assignment.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the special education group, you are responsible for mentoring and teaching in smaller student groups.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the students' individual needs and prerequisites, while maintaining a clear direction towards knowledge goals.

Through a formative and relationship-building working method with high expectations, you create participation and lead the students' learning forward.

You exercise clear and secure pedagogical leadership in the classroom where structure, study quietness, and predictability are central parts. Teaching is adapted through varied working methods and support structures to create motivation and make learning accessible to all students.

The assignment also includes:

  • being a mentor and supporting the students' knowledge-based and social development
  • documenting, following up, and analyzing the students' development
  • collaborating with guardians, student health services, and subject teachers
  • collaborating closely with colleagues within the unit and contributing to the development of the operation
  • ensuring that teaching and working methods are based on scientific grounds and proven experience

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • is a certified teacher, preferably with eligibility for grades 7–9
  • have experience in teaching and a strong commitment to students' learning and health
  • have the ability to differentiate and adapt teaching to students' different needs
  • have clear and secure leadership in the classroom
  • have good collaboration skills and experience working in teams regarding students
  • have the ability to create good relationships and motivate students in need of special support

It is meritorious if you:

  • have eligibility in Swedish for grades 7–9
  • have experience working with students in need of special support
  • have knowledge of or experience in special pedagogy, clarifying pedagogy, and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
  • have experience working in smaller teaching groups

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police criminal record and the suspicion register that is not more than 6 months old.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of personal status together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
