Sala is a cozy small town with a central geographical location and good public transport connections. The municipality has approximately 22,800 inhabitants, of whom 2,000 are employed by the municipality. Long-term economic, social, and environmental sustainability shall be the starting point for all work in Sala Municipality.

Varmsätra School is a grades F-6 school with approximately 100 students, located just outside the town of Sala. The school also includes an after-school center. Varmsätra belongs to the principal's area of Ransta/Varmsätra. We have students who act as well-being leaders and drive recess activities. Great emphasis is placed on community, equal treatment, and moving the school forward together. Our working methods are based on formative assessment, and working in teams benefits all staff at the school. The student is at the center of our focus. We are now looking for a teacher for the preschool class at Varmsätra School.

Job Responsibilities

In the preschool class, teachers work in a team. The responsibilities include mentorship and, together with your colleagues, designing a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. Together with the team, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing teaching in a way that takes a holistic view of the student and their needs, in accordance with the curriculum and other regulatory documents. As a teacher, you also contribute to making daily life work for the students, where tasks such as pedagogical lunches and acting as a recess supervisor may be included. Part of the position also involves teaching crafts (6 lessons) for grades 3–6. Here, you work together with another crafts teacher.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in the preschool class or in crafts.

It is important to us that you can adapt your teaching based on the students and that you care about maintaining high-quality teaching. Terms of Employment

• Temporary position (100%) for one academic year.
• Probationary employment may apply.
• Start date: Before the start of the autumn term 2026.
• Individual salary setting applies.
• Requirement for a police certificate upon job offer, according to the Act on Register Control in School, After-School, and Preschool Activities (Swedish National Police Board's criminal record register, RPS 442.5).
