Job Responsibilities

As a resource assistant with us, you will work to support a specific student in their daily school routine. The tasks are varied and involve helping the student in various everyday situations, such as during breaks, in changing rooms, and at mealtimes. You also support the student in their learning by creating calm, helping the student find individual solutions to acquire knowledge, and developing their abilities.

You work under the instruction of the responsible teacher and collaborate with the teacher regarding how the support is best carried out. Your role also includes close contact with guardians and close cooperation with other school staff to create the best possible conditions for the student's development.

Qualifications and Merits

We would appreciate it if you have experience with neuropsychiatric disabilities, but this is not a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities where you are secure, trust-building, and a role model for the students. You build strong relationships, believe in students' potential, and work for their development and independence. You have good judgment, are empathetic, and meet students in a low-affective manner. You can adapt your communication and approach to the situation, have patience, and can work independently. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is important.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of the school's mission, students' right to education and learning, as well as an understanding of the student's different needs and prerequisites. Experience in creating good relationships with students, maintaining a professional role, and effectively handling and preventing conflicts is also highly valued.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of personal data together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
