Åmål Municipality is now seeking an engaged Treatment Secretary for the EU project Active Åmål – an initiative designed to strengthen individuals' paths toward employment, studies, and improved health.

As a Treatment Secretary, you will work closely with individuals facing complex issues, often linked to long-term unemployment, ill health, or addiction. You will become a vital part of an interdisciplinary team where the focus is on the individual's resources, needs, and development.

Your role is both therapeutic, supportive, and coordinating – with the goal of helping participants gradually approach the labor market.

The work takes place within the framework of the Active Åmål project, which offers individualized and coordinated interventions for people who are far from work.

Your Assignment

In the role of Treatment Secretary, you will among other things:

• Work client-facing with supportive, therapeutic, and preventive measures
• Support individuals with issues such as substance abuse, mental health challenges, or social problems
• Participate in mapping and creating individual action plans
• Follow up and document participants' development
• Collaborate with other professions within the team (e.g., employment consultants, healthcare staff, and social services)
• Contribute to creating structure, motivation, and progression in participants' daily lives

Active Åmål is an ESF-funded project aimed at:

• Strengthening work ability and health
• Offering individualized and stepwise interventions
• Creating new employment and work training environments
• Working in an interdisciplinary team with coordinated support

The target group is adult women and men who are far from the labor market and often need coordinated interventions from several actors.

• Easily builds trust and relationships

Formal Competency Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work, treatment work, or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals in complex life situations
• Knowledge of rehabilitation, labor market measures, or social problems
• Ability to make decisions and perform independent assessments
• Employment assumes you have a valid B-driver's license
• Digital identification via BankID

Meritorious

• Experience in project or development work

Employment

The position is subject to necessary decisions being made. Fixed-term project employment at 100% during the period 2026-11-01 to 2029-06-30.

The Treatment Secretary is currently placed within the Activity and Adult Learning unit in the Welfare and Labor Market Administration, which is organized directly under the Welfare and Labor Market Committee. The direct manager is the Unit Manager.
