Hemnovia is growing and is now looking for a structured and engaged full-time foster home investigator. This is a dedicated investigative role for you who are passionate about investigation and assessment, and who see the value in laying the foundation for placements that last over time. You will be based at our office on Odinslundsgatan in Örgryte, Gothenburg.

About the role

As a foster home investigator, you are responsible for investigating and assessing families who wish to open their homes to children and young people as day-care and foster homes. You are the one who ensures that the right families enter the operation: a job that requires precision, good judgment, and respectful treatment throughout the process.

Your main tasks:

• Plan and conduct foster home investigations, often according to Kälvesten or BRA-fam depending on the assignment
• Meet with families through in-depth interviews and home visits
• Obtain and review police certificates, references, and other documentation
• Compile well-founded assessments and written reports
• Work according to established routines, guidelines, and timeframes
• Contribute to the quality of the operation and the development of investigative work

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant university education of at least 180 credits, e.g., social worker, behavioral scientist, or social pedagogue
• Experience in investigating and assessing foster homes
• Experience in social work, preferably with children, young people, or families
• Very good written skills and experience working structured with documentation and assessments
• Ability to work independently and make professional, well-reasoned decisions
• B-driver's license and good driving skills, as travel and home visits are part of the job

Additional qualifications include training in established investigation methods such as Kälvesten and BRA-fam.
