The foundation Gyllenkroken's activities are directed towards people with mental health issues and are conducted from a humanistic view of humanity. It is based on the assumption that all people should be treated with respect and that all have equal value. Within the framework of our foundation, we run a Culture and Activity House located at Svingeln in Gothenburg, with up to 100 visitors per day. The focus is on health and culture.

We are looking for a temporary supervisor

We are now seeking a temporary supervisor for our culture and activity house with a focus on art, as well as a portion of responsibilities in kitchen operations. We are looking for you with a background in art, as well as experience working in a kitchen, café, or restaurant. However, above all, we are looking for you who enjoy working with people in groups.

We are looking for someone who is creative, secure, and engaged. You will work together with others in a team, as well as with participants in our activities. You need to have the ability to create participation and motivation in groups, be able to take initiative, but also be attentive to the participants' own ideas and needs.

As a supervisor, you work together with colleagues on tasks such as:

  • Being available for participants and visitors.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating activities.
  • Receiving interns and students.
  • Supporting kitchen operations according to schedule or as needed.

Our requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience and confidence in meeting and supporting people with mental health issues, mental illness, or functional variations.

Merits

  • Ability to demonstrate and capture enthusiasm and engagement.
  • Experience from working in an activity house or similar.
  • Experience working with volunteers or participant-led activities.
  • We would like you to be able to lead various activities and take independent responsibility.
  • We would prefer if you are trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and/or low-arousal approach.

Other conditions

  • External group supervision and staff meetings every other week are included in the work.
  • Working hours are typically Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30. Some deviations may occur.
  • On-call duty for Gyllenkroken's other activities may be included.
  • Temporary position at approximately 80%.
