Are you a secure adult with life experience, or perhaps a young talent at the beginning of your career? At Montessoriskolan Lindängen, we are now looking for dedicated hourly substitutes who can step in during short-term absences in our preschool, preschool class, school (grades F–6), and our after-school center.

Age does not matter here – what counts is your sense of security, your attitude, and your commitment to the children. We warmly welcome those who have worked a whole professional life in the school world (perhaps you are a retiree but want to continue making a difference?), as well as those who are currently studying.

The role of the hourly substitute

As an hourly substitute with us, you have one of the school's most important tasks – ensuring that operations run smoothly and securely even when the regular staff is absent. The work is varied, and you may be called in with short notice (often in the morning) or book shifts in advance.

Your tasks may include:

• Helping out in the daily activities at the preschool or after-school center.
• Assisting or leading lessons in the school/preschool class based on the regular teacher's planning.
• Being an active, present, and stable adult during breaks and outdoor activities.
• Creating a safe, structured, and stimulating environment for the children/students.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who is a secure embrace or a stable role model and who has a genuine interest in children's development and learning. Since workdays can change quickly, you need to be flexible, proactive, and have an easy time collaborating with people from different backgrounds and ages.

Qualifications:

• You are at least 18 years old and have completed upper secondary education.
• You are punctual, responsible, and have a professional and calm demeanor.
• You have the ability to communicate well and build good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.

Merits:

• Previous experience working in preschool, school, or after-school centers is a big plus – we value the knowledge and stability you bring from having worked long in the school world.
• Education in pedagogy (e.g., childcare worker, teacher student, or Montessori training).
• Knowledge of or interest in Montessori pedagogy.
