About the job as a personal assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the customer is located, and your overall task is to assist the customer so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Responsibilities

Your tasks depend on the customer's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, housework, and cooking to assisting the customer at work or during activities outside the home.

Särnmark's headquarters are in Sundbyberg, but we also have offices in other parts of the country.

We are now looking for dedicated and warm personal assistants for a cheerful young woman with epilepsy and developmental disabilities. She lives with her family and a cuddly red cat on the outskirts of Sätila, and participates in day activities a few times a week. This young woman requires double assistance around the clock. She has a sense of humor, loves speed and excitement, enjoys being out in the fresh air, and values closeness and security.

• You must be secure, flexible, and responsive.
• We would prefer that you have experience in similar work (but it is not a requirement).
• You must be a non-smoker and have access to a driver's license and a car, as there is no public transport in the area.
• You thrive in a home environment where you work closely with colleagues and relatives.

We require an extract from the criminal record register. We are looking for staff for permanent positions as well as hourly substitutes.

We are looking for you who are responsible, responsive, and quick to learn new tasks. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction at the customer's home as well as access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant.

About the employment

The form of employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the wage form is hourly pay. Working hours vary depending on the customer's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays, and weekends.

Salary and other terms of employment according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna – Kommunal.
