We are now looking for a support assistant for a night shift vacancy at one of our group homes within disability support.

The assignment

The target groups you will work with are people with various mental and physical disabilities and/or mental health issues, ADHD/Autism (NPF), sometimes in combination with self-harming behavior and addiction.

The primary placement is at a group home within the LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), but the assignment may also involve working at other locations. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy variety in your work, are flexible, and feel secure in meeting users' diverse and complex needs.

Your tasks

The work as a night support assistant involves working awake nights and every other weekend. The tasks vary somewhat over time. This means supporting users with whatever they need help with; other night tasks can include cleaning, laundry, and other household chores. You work alone at night, but there is a personal alarm that can be used if needed.

About you

We are looking for you who have experience working with people with various functional variations, mental health issues, and ADHD/Autism (NPF), sometimes in combination with self-harming behavior and addiction.

Requirements: You have studied the Nursing Program, Child and Leisure, or other education that the employer finds suitable. You have experience working in LSS group homes and in social psychiatry.

You are a positive, independent, and creative person who enjoys challenges.

Personal suitability weighs heavily.

As a person, you need to be reliable and stable, with the ability to remain calm when meeting people in affect and to handle challenging situations. You should be able to work with a low-affective approach and have the ability to contribute to a safe and positive atmosphere both in the work group and among our clients.

In your work, you are accustomed to taking great responsibility, you distinguish between the personal and professional, and you behave in a way that is adapted to the situation. You can discuss reflectively together with your colleagues and others you collaborate with to thereby create a common approach based on each person's situation.

You have the ability to adapt in your work and prioritize according to current conditions and see opportunities. Disability support and social psychiatry is a business that is constantly changing and developing, which places high demands on flexibility regarding tasks.

Since there are animals in the activity, you should not be allergic to fur-bearing animals.

Orust Municipality works with full-time as the norm, which among other things means that as an employee in the municipality, you have a full-time position.

Before an offer of a vacancy and employment, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.

Other information:

Working hours/duration: Full-time vacancy until 2027-01-31 with possible extension. Working hours are approx. 21:45 to 07:00 and you work every other weekend.

Salary: Individual salary setting, state salary requirements.

Start date: According to agreement.
