Särnmark's headquarters are located in Sundbyberg, but we also have offices in other parts of the country.

We are now looking for personal assistants for a customer living centrally in Gothenburg.

About the job as a personal assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the customer is, and your overall task is to assist the customer so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities depend on the customer's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, housekeeping, and cooking, to assisting the customer with activities outside the home.

We are looking for you who:

We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, and quick to learn new tasks. You are encouraged to be curious about life and socially competent. It is a plus if you enjoy playing computer games, going to the gym, playing cards, taking long walks, attending shooting training, or showing genuine interest in the customer and their interests. Prior experience as an assistant is not required, as we place the greatest emphasis on personal suitability. However, it is advantageous if you are a trained nursing assistant or have experience working with children and youth, intellectual disabilities, or epilepsy (EP). You will assist with all daily tasks regarding the customer and support them during activities. You should be a reassuring presence by their side, and most importantly, you must be a calm and attentive person. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction to the customer as well as access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant.

About the employment

The employment is for a fixed term for as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the pay is hourly. Working hours vary according to the customer's needs: days, evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends.

Salary and other terms of employment are according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna – Kommunal.
