Job Description

We are looking for our new colleague, a school social worker (skolkurator), for a pleasant primary school in Lerum. The position is full-time (100%) starting in August at the beginning of the term and ending at the turn of November/December.

Your Background and Role

We are seeking a school social worker who is engaged, proactive, and wants to feel that their work truly makes a difference for the students. You are a vital part of the operation and value being visible among students and educators. You will work preventively at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participating in the work of the school health team and taking the lead in psychosocial issues.
• Being involved in pedagogical assessments together with other professions within the school health service, as well as participating in the systematic follow-up work of the school health service.
• Working in an advisory capacity towards educators and other professions within the school.
• Collaborating with others, both internally and externally, e.g., with actors such as the police, social services, habilitation services, and field assistants.
• Having supportive conversations with students.

It is important that you are structured, self-initiating, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. You are responsible, have excellent collaboration skills, and are flexible, proactive, receptive, and empathetic. You enjoy sharing your experiences and knowledge and are open to new ways of working.

Qualifications:

• Graduate social worker with documented experience working with children and young people.
• Experience in providing advice, support, and guidance to children and adults.
• Ability to analyze operations and prioritize and define the scope of your assignment based on this.
• Good knowledge of social services laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with the school's governing documents.

Previous experience working as a school social worker is considered an asset.
