About the position

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 1–3. Having qualifications in mathematics and Natural Sciences is a plus. We would like you to have a few years of experience as a teacher.

You will be a mentor in a second-grade class with approximately 25 students. You will work closely with the other mentor in grade 2, and you will divide the subjects between yourselves. The group also includes a leisure-time pedagogue, a childcare assistant, and a resource teacher. Together, you belong to the K-3 work team. You are a team around the group and plan together to give the students the best conditions.

We have a concept where leisure-time activities are involved in the students' entire school day. Together, you divide the group into smaller groups at several times during the week. This creates quality and high teacher density, ensuring our students achieve good results.

You are responsible for carrying out planning, teaching, documentation, and evaluation of the teaching together with your work team. Start date: August 10.

Silverbäcks School

Our school is located in Silverdal, in southern Sollentuna, about 15 minutes from Stockholm Central Station by commuter train. The unit offers unique and inspiring premises as well as a lovely and play-friendly yard, well adapted to children's different needs. We are close to nature and work with outdoor pedagogy year-round. We use the forest as a classroom, and especially younger students have outdoor teaching every week.

At Silverbäcken, you can start at age six and go up to grade 9. We currently have 490 students at the school.

• Collaborative skills and an approach that promotes collegial learning by sharing knowledge and experience.
• Ability to plan and organize your work.
• A belief that students learn from varied teaching.
