Vittra Östertälje is looking for an engaged and responsible student assistant

Vittra Östertälje is located on the outskirts of Östertälje in Södertälje Municipality. The school is situated next to forests and natural areas, and we have access to an outdoor gym, artificial turf fields, a lighted running track, a sports hall, and the Sörmlandsleden trail directly adjacent to the school.

We have high expectations of ourselves and our collaborative work, which is based on collegial learning and the individual needs of our students. Together, we build a safe and challenging environment where everyone can develop, both students and adults.

Your Role

You will work as a student assistant in the lower primary school (grades 1-3), responsible for supporting a specific student throughout the entire school day and after-school activities.

The role involves providing close, individualized support in the student's daily life and care. You will help the student participate in activities and feel secure during all parts of the school day.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Support with personal care and toilet visits
• Assistance during meals
• Contributing to a safe, predictable, and developmental day for the student

You will work closely with the class teacher, after-school staff, and student health services, playing a key role in creating a cohesive support system around the student.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is secure, calm, and responsible in their role
• Is flexible, receptive, and solution-focused
• Has experience working as a student assistant, assistant nurse, or equivalent with a student requiring medical support
• Has experience with, or is confident in learning, medical procedures
• Is highly committed to children's development and well-being
• Has good collaboration skills and thrives in close work with both colleagues and the student

The position is full-time and lasts as long as the student has a need for support.
