The Education Administration is responsible for preschools, after-school centers, primary schools, upper secondary schools, as well as adapted primary and upper secondary schools. The Role and Responsibilities

You will work as a Special Needs Educator (Specialpedagog), responsible for teaching involving special support. You will be responsible for the overall general support and support through additional adaptations at the individual and group levels. You will mentor educators and, if necessary, other school staff in working with students in need of support, at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The goal is to support students' academic development while working preventively and health-promoting to contribute to a good learning environment.

You will be responsible for smaller and larger interventions and actively work with these interventions at various levels, with continuous evaluation and follow-up at all levels and with relevant stakeholders. The role involves contact with students, staff, guardians, and other actors.

The role implies that you are part of the Student Health Team and serve as a contact person for educators, within the Student Health Team, and towards other actors. In your special needs educational role within the Student Health Team, you are expected to, among other things, propose, evaluate, and follow up on interventions and adaptations for students in need, as well as prepare investigations and action plans, and follow up on these.

Skogsbacksskolan is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 450 students, including adapted primary school and special preschool. You will work with students in grades 4-9.

Who You Are

Requirements: Teacher certification is a requirement. We are looking for you who are a qualified Special Needs Educator.

You have/are:

• A clear student focus and a strong belief in every student's desire to succeed.
• A holistic perspective on the student and collaborate with others around the student to find ways forward.
• A professional approach in meetings with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Easy to collaborate and create good working relationships with a mentoring working style.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to structure your work efficiently.
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
• Flexible and solution-oriented.
• Ability to organize and lead processes regarding the creation of documentation such as pedagogical investigations, action plans, and assessments.
