A family with three children moving to Sweden is looking for a reliable, engaged, and proactive nanny.

The position starts as soon as we find the right candidate. There is an opportunity to swap working days with our weekly nannies occasionally, allowing you to have a free weekend about once a month, and instead work 3 days during the week for 8 hours per day, either 07:00-15:00 or 12:00-20:00.

About the family and children:

The family has three children who will be:

• A 6-month-old baby
• A child of approximately 1.5 years old (calm, curious, enjoys reading, bathing, and playing in playgrounds). Attends preschool.
• A child of 5.5 years old (active, loves being outdoors, playing in the park, looking for insects, playing with the family dog and cars). Starts preschool in August.

During the summer (June–August), it is summer holiday, routines are more flexible, and all children will be at home.

The mother is a stay-at-home parent and works closely with the nanny in daily life. She often plans the days but also wishes for the nanny to bring her own initiatives, suggestions for activities, and to take the children on outings. On rare occasions, the mother may need to leave the house, and then the nanny is responsible for all the children (usually only the two youngest), but most often the nanny is responsible for one or two children.

The family has had nannies before, and the children are accustomed to it.

Responsibilities

• Care for one or more children depending on the day and needs
• Actively participate in the children's play and development
• Take the children to activities and playgrounds (everything is within walking distance)
• Simple cooking for the children (lunch)
• Clean up after play and meals

The family will have a cleaner who handles most of the household chores; the nanny's focus will be on the children.

Working Hours

• Base schedule: Saturday and Sunday 07:00-19:00.
• Occasional shifts on other days if the nanny is available.
• Travel with the family occasionally, primarily during holidays. This is not a requirement but an advantage if possible.
• There is an opportunity to work extra hours on weekdays occasionally.

Languages

• English is a requirement as the children primarily speak English today.
• Swedish is a big plus but not a requirement (the mother speaks Swedish with the children).

Profile

• Independent and unpretentious
• Comfortable with small children and infants
• Experienced with bottle feeding, changing diapers, and bathing babies
• Preferably accustomed to working in a family where a parent is at home
• Social, proactive, and child-loving
• Must love to play!

Other

• The family has a dog that will likely arrive during the summer (an 8-year-old beagle). A big plus if the nanny can take the dog for walks together with the stroller occasionally.
• Opportunity to travel abroad with the family. This is a plus but not a requirement. Primarily during school holidays.
• The family travels approximately 3–4 times per year.
• A long-term nanny is important for continuity and security.
• The father usually works from another location.

Interviews are conducted continuously during the application period.

Salaries are determined individually based on experience and education and are comparable to preschool teacher salaries in Stockholm. Minimum wage 150 SEK/hour. We can offer higher wages up to 210 SEK/hour for nannies with extensive experience and/or pedagogical education. Fixed monthly salaries occur in some positions.

Do you have:

• At least three years of experience in professional work with children (certificate/documentation and references required) or equivalent competence?
• An interest in working with children and their development?
• Pedagogical education such as preschool teacher, childcare worker, teacher, leisure-time pedagogue, drama pedagogue, etc., is an advantage, as is a driver's license!
