Do you want to work on developing the sports movement where it truly makes a difference – for real?

We are now looking for a Sports Consultant for Idrottsklivet in Stockholm. This is a role for you who wants to work long-term to strengthen the sports movement in areas with socio-economic challenges – where the need is greatest.

About the role

As a sports consultant within Idrottsklivet, you work closely with associations, special sports federations, municipalities, and other actors in local areas. The assignment is about contributing to sustainable structures, a strengthened sports movement, and better opportunities for more people to participate in sports.

The role is operationally close and involves working in complex contexts, where you, together with others, analyze needs, make prioritizations, and drive development. It is not about carrying out activities, but about creating conditions for them to function sustainably.

You will become part of a team that works closely together, where shared vision, dialogue, and joint assessments are central to the assignment.

Your main responsibilities

• Support associations in their development, focusing on sustainability, structure, and long-term perspective
• Lead dialogues with associations where you together concretize development needs, priorities, and ways forward
• Process and assess applications for project support, including prioritization based on given criteria
• Contribute to creating shared vision and collaboration between different actors in an area
• Work with civic education and training initiatives that strengthen the capacity of associations
• Follow up on efforts and contribute to learning and development of working methods

Person Profile

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are confident in working in complex contexts and who are motivated by development rather than execution.

You:

• have experience from the sports movement, associations, or similar operations
• understand the challenges that exist in socio-economically disadvantaged areas
• are accustomed to making trade-offs and making decisions in situations where there are no easy answers
• are structured and have good administrative skills
• build trust and good relationships with different target groups
• are communicative, receptive, and adapt to different contexts
• enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others

It is meritorious if you have experience of development work, process facilitation, or collaboration between different actors.

About Idrottsklivet

Idrottsklivet is a national initiative aimed at strengthening the presence of the sports movement in areas with socio-economic challenges. The assignment is about creating long-term conditions for a strong sports movement – not short-term efforts.

Within RF-SISU Stockholm, we work to complement the work of special sports federations and contribute to creating sustainable structures locally, together with associations and other actors.

Start: According to agreement
Scope: Full-time
Employment: Fixed-term employment for two years
Working hours: Unregulated working hours. Evening and weekend work occurs
