The Administrative Office of the Municipal Executive Board works with common and overarching areas. The administration provides services to the general public, elected politicians, and other municipal departments. This includes the finance department, administration and legal department, business department, communications department, HR department, and digitalization department.

Are you passionate about making a difference in important and current societal issues? Are you interested in labor market issues? Do you have experience working with municipal summer jobs?

We are now looking for analytical, structured, and communicative coordinators/project managers for the Business and Labor Market department in Österåker Municipality. The department's task is to support local businesses to operate and grow, provide adult education, and match residents to studies, work, or other activities to take steps closer to the labor market and self-sufficiency.

On July 1st, the activity requirement comes into force (part of the new Social Services Act). The requirement means that persons who have received social assistance for at least three months must participate in activities to approach self-sufficiency. It is the municipality's responsibility to provide these activities. Activities fall into several categories: motivational, language-enhancing, job-seeking, and workplace-based.

The individuals we are looking for will work within the municipality's mandate to meet the legal requirement and increase the opportunities for residents to achieve self-sufficiency. The work should contribute to efficiency, quality, and sustainability for Österåker's residents and businesses.

Your new job

Collaborate with internal and external parties to fulfill the activity requirement, coordinate and structure, and produce statistics regarding the municipality's new mandate regarding activity responsibility, internship placements, and summer jobs for youth in the municipality. Some administrative tasks will also be included in the job.

Examples of tasks in the roles we are recruiting for:

  • Coordinate, structure, and carry out tasks and activities regarding the municipality's new activity requirement
  • Handle the municipality's summer jobs for young people
  • Establish and develop contact with local employers, within the municipality, business sector, and organizations
  • "Equip" employers for workplace-based activities
  • Manage and develop introductory support for employers receiving persons for internships
  • Compile and analyze statistics and other material for evaluation and steering
  • Create structures and routines for, e.g., supervision, different forms of internships, contacts with employers
  • Develop and test forms for agreements and partnerships with local employers

Your profile

  • Relevant education
  • Very good ability to create structure and coordinate
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • Very good ability to absorb and work with digital tools and good administrative ability
  • Good ability to produce and analyze relevant statistics
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience working with the target group of job seekers and individuals far from the labor market
  • You should be good at collaborating, able to work independently, have good digital skills, and experience
  • Very high communicative ability and ability to create good relationships and collaborations
  • It is an advantage if you have insight into or have worked with IOP (Ideologically Driven Public Partnership)
  • Great importance will be attached to personal suitability

To thrive in the role, you need to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner. You need to be receptive and enjoy working in parallel tracks simultaneously while still being meticulous and quality-assuring deliverables. You must be able to work both independently and in a team.

Full-time

Terms of employment

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 35,000 SEK and 45,000 SEK, depending on experience and competence. In some cases, more senior candidates may be offered a higher salary within the role's total range.

Our collective agreement regulates the terms of employment such as salary, working hours, allowances, and other benefits within the sector.
