Teaching takes place in the upper secondary courses in Natural Science and Mathematics. The position may include some teaching in lower secondary school Natural Science (NO). Qualification to teach Natural Science in upper secondary school combined with another subject for upper secondary school may be of interest. The position may be adapted based on the applicant's competence and the school's needs.

The position includes class teacher responsibilities, which among other things involves responsibility for conducting development talks and continuously following up on students. As a teacher at Almåsgymnasiet, you create conditions for learning, guide the student towards the goals, and participate in the student's upbringing into a good citizen. You continuously work on assessing goal fulfillment and communicating this to the student.

Collaboration with other teachers, both in the subject group and in the program team, is a given. Together with your colleagues, you will systematically plan, implement, and follow up on teaching. We welcome your participation in or leadership of development work.

• Teacher education and teacher certification for upper secondary level in the subjects Natural Science and Mathematics, or Natural Science combined with another subject.
• The role of teacher requires clear leadership where you engage and challenge your students, are creative, and have a good approach to people. You are clear in your communication and value creating good relationships. You also have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and the ability to collaborate with both teacher colleagues and other roles at the school.
• You adapt easily to changing circumstances, identify areas for development, and contribute to solutions yourself through ideas, initiative, and flexibility. You express a positive attitude and act in accordance with decisions made for the benefit of the entire operation.
• You are active and participate in the work to develop school operations together with teacher colleagues, school management, and other staff.
• You are familiar with digital technology and use it as a natural tool in your work.
