About the Position

Our task is to provide them with good knowledge and skills – a safe and sustainable foundation for further studies and working life.

We are a vocational upper secondary school with approximately 300 students today. We offer upper secondary education programs in Childcare and Leisure, Care and Nursing, Vehicles and Transport, Construction and Civil Engineering, Electricity and Energy, Industrial Technology, Adapted Upper Secondary School, and Introduction Programs.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a teacher for the program Vehicle Care and Cargo Handling within the Adapted Upper Secondary School. You will form a work team with three colleagues, and together you will be responsible for developing the operations of the program. The work team has great freedom to design the education in the best way possible based on the conditions. We have well-adapted facilities, and the program has access to a minibus for study visits, etc.

We are looking for you who have great engagement, are good at collaborating, but can also take significant individual responsibility. You want to be part of creating the best conditions for our students. We see good relationships between teachers and students as one of the most important success factors. You have high ambitions and are proactive in developing the pedagogical work. You are challenged to drive school development together with colleagues and school leadership. You are a secure and clear leader in the classroom, flexible, and willing to meet the varying needs of the operations.

Qualifications

Vocational Competence (Very Important)
For the subject Vehicle Care and Cargo Handling, extensive industry experience is required, for example within:

• vehicle care, tire service, and simple repairs
• warehouse work, logistics, and cargo handling
• forklift driving and occupational health and safety

This vocational experience forms the basis for eligibility as a vocational teacher.

Pedagogical and Personal Competencies
In addition to formal eligibility, you are expected to have:

• good ability to adapt teaching to students' individual needs
• knowledge of structure, clarifying pedagogy, and practical learning
• experience with or interest in working with students with intellectual disabilities
• collaboration skills (working in teams, with colleagues, school leadership, and workplace training placements)

Meritorious is experience of teaching at an adapted upper secondary school with a practical orientation. The program's character is strongly practical and work-life oriented.
