In Grums Municipality, we work together to create safe, inclusive, and equal learning environments for all children. Our eight municipal preschools are led by two principals working in close collaboration, with a strong focus on quality and development.

We are now looking for an engaged special needs educator who wants to help develop our operations. In this role, you will work closely with children, educators, and guardians, contributing your expertise to create accessible and inclusive learning environments.

The assignment is varied and distributed across several preschools, where you will have significant autonomy and good opportunities to influence and take initiative. At the same time, you will become an important part of our child health team, where collaboration and a holistic perspective are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you contribute to both overall operational development and support for individual children. Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Mentoring and developing the professional competence of educators in pedagogical work.
• Assessing learning environments and children's need for special support.
• Developing action plans together with educators.
• Supporting and developing the learning environments and basic structures of the operations.
• Coordinating meetings with guardians and facilitating dialogue regarding the child's development and learning.
• Creating and maintaining good cooperation with guardians.
• Being a part of the Child Health Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in Pedagogy with a focus on preschool.
• Advanced education in Special Needs Education (90 ECTS credits).
• Several years of experience working in preschools.
• Experience with children in need of special support.
• Experience in mentoring work teams.
• Good digital competence.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a car.

As a person, you are communicative and foster engagement and participation. You have a holistic perspective and work in a structured manner with strong documentation skills. You plan and organize your work efficiently and have a solution-oriented attitude. You collaborate well with others, are curious, and wish to continue developing within your specialist field.

In our operations, all individuals to be employed to work with children and young people must, according to law (2000:873), present a certified extract from the Police's criminal record register. The form can be ordered free of charge at www.polisen.se. It usually takes between 1-2 weeks to receive it by mail.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-24 or as agreed.
Working hours: Daytime.
