We are now strengthening the home care service in Österäng and are looking for you who are a nursing assistant (undersköterska). The team consists of approximately 23 nursing assistants and care aides who work according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. Your role with us

As a nursing assistant, you will work with one of the best and most rewarding jobs there is – helping to make everyday life meaningful for our customers. A professional approach and good customer service are second nature to us. The work in home care involves care in ordinary housing based on the customer's needs, as well as delegated home nursing care. We work with a customer focus, placing the customers' needs and wishes at the center.

An important part of the work is collaborating in a team around the customer to achieve a good holistic view. The role includes being a permanent contact person for care. You will be offered varied work involving nursing interventions, activities, and delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff. We use Lifecare as our planning tool. Cycling is part of the job duties.

The home care service in Kristianstad Municipality wants to focus on quality and competence. We have chosen to specialize the nursing assistant role by separating service tasks from care work within home care. This is so that you, as a nursing assistant, can focus on the parts you are trained for.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with a completed nursing program and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding the protected professional title. Work experience, preferably within home care or other healthcare and social services, is meritorious, as is education in psychiatry or dementia care. Since communication and documentation are part of your duties, we assume you are computer literate and proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing. The job requires that you can ride both manual and electric bicycles.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. Furthermore, you have good collaborative skills and a professional attitude towards customers, relatives, and colleagues. You can independently plan and structure your work, work towards goals, and have the ability to change your direction when goals change. It is important that you respect decisions made and contribute to the development of the operations and a good working environment.

About us

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and persons who need functional support, as well as persons in need of home nursing care. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
