Responsibilities

Your task is to lead and drive the pedagogical work in the leisure-time centre (fritidshem) together with other educators, based on the national curriculum and other governing documents.

As a leisure-time centre educator, you play a vital role in daily operations. With a conscious approach, you enable children to discover and develop their abilities in a comprehensive manner. A key part of the role is ensuring that all children are seen and feel that they have a clear place at the school and in the leisure-time centre.

You are responsible for providing a learning environment that is educational, challenging, meaningful, creative, and exciting. Together with your colleagues, you engage in a continuous pedagogical dialogue with the desire to change, deepen, and develop the practice.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who hold a license as a leisure-time centre educator (fritidspedagog), or as a teacher with a specialization in leisure-time centres.

We prefer that you have previous experience working with children. You should have a positive attitude and an interest in developing work methods, as well as sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues.

We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

Some positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, which may require a security clearance. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
