Your Role
Practical Gymnasiet in Örnsköldsvik is growing, and we therefore need to strengthen our organization by adding another vocational teacher to our Hairdressing and Styling program. This is a 100% maternity leave cover position, starting immediately or as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students within the Hairdressing and Styling program, covering both the hairdressing and hair & makeup styling tracks. Together with two other hairdressing and styling teachers, you will be part of a team consisting of both vocational and core subject teachers, sharing mentorship responsibilities. We see you as a key and driving force in developing both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with other colleagues. We primarily work in the platforms StudyBee, Schoolsoft, and Google Workspace, sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a licensed vocational teacher in hairdressing and have a burning interest in hair styling, updos, and creative hairstyles. Experience and knowledge in makeup are meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. If you do not have a teaching license, you are still welcome to apply. In such cases, we will jointly create a plan for how you can become licensed. The role involves contact with the business sector, as a large part, at least 50% of the students' total school time, and up to 80% of the vocational courses in Year 3, consists of work-based learning (APL). You preferably have established contacts within the industry and an active professional network that you can contribute.
