Job Description

Do you want to inspire people to better health while helping to develop the workplace of the future?

Överkalix Municipality has been granted funding for the project Health Överkalix – Step by Step, a long-term initiative to strengthen employees' knowledge of health, reduce sick leave, and create conditions for a sustainable working life. The project will run from 2026 to 2029 and covers all municipality employees.

Överkalix Municipality is now seeking a Health Guide to implement the project's activities within the organization. As a Health Guide, you will be the engine of the project in practical health work. You will work closely with the municipality's operations and meet both groups and individuals. You will plan, execute, and follow up on activities that strengthen physical, mental, and social health.

You will also serve as a key support for the health ambassadors who are to be trained and established within the various departments.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

  • plan and implement health-promoting activities for municipality employees
  • conduct training sessions, workshops, and inspirational lectures
  • carry out individual health consultations and guidance
  • support employees in change work related to lifestyle habits, recovery, and stress management
  • train, coordinate, and support the municipality's health ambassadors
  • produce materials for theme months, activities, and knowledge dissemination
  • contribute to the development of the municipality's long-term health work
  • participate in development work together with operations and workplaces
  • document and follow up on implemented measures

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • education in health guidance, public health, wellness, behavioral science, physiology, or other education deemed relevant by the employer
  • experience leading groups, training, or activities
  • experience in advisory or coaching work with individuals
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • good digital competence
  • Class B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience working with public health or health-promoting workplaces
  • experience training or mentoring others
  • knowledge of organizational and social work environment
  • experience in improvement work and co-creation processes
  • knowledge of improvement methods such as PDSA, service design, or similar approaches
  • experience with project work or development work in the public sector

Duration/Working Hours

The position is a full-time (100%) project employment until 2029-06-30.
