In Gällivare Municipality, we have a unit with all authority functions within social services. We are now looking for social workers who want to work with authority functions concerning children and young people.

Job Responsibilities
As a social secretary in Children and Young People, you primarily work with the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). You work with families based on incoming reports or applications from guardians or young people. The duties include follow-up for children and young people in open interventions carried out by outpatient care, as well as follow-ups of placements in foster homes and residential care homes (HVB). We strive to provide families with support at an early stage, and as far as possible, we work with home-based solutions. The work involves collaboration with other colleagues within our operations, as well as internal and external collaboration.
You will be offered participation in Yrkesresan, which is a national competence supply program for social services.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a degree in Social Work. As a social worker, you should have good knowledge of current legislation and a humanistic view of humanity. Merit points are given if you have previous experience in the field, have training in BBIC, MI, Sign of Safety, child interviews, or other relevant advanced knowledge. You should be able to work independently but also enjoy collaborating in a group and maintaining good relationships. You are service-oriented, solution-focused, and flexible, as the work may involve acute decision-making. You need to be confident in yourself, have the ability to set boundaries, and have a professional attitude. Personal suitability is highly valued.
In accordance with the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
Requirement: Class B driver's license.
In the event of employment, an extract from the police criminal record is required.

Working Hours/Duration
Full-time, permanent position. The position includes on-call duties. Probationary period may apply.
