Hi! Are you our new colleague at Fjälldalen Preschool?

Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountain are close by, offering you as a pedagogue a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the preschool of the future. The preschool opened in January 2025, and we are now looking for you who want to join a wonderful group of colleagues and build a long-term career at the preschool. At the preschool, we meet our children in their first education and their first steps in lifelong learning, and you as a pedagogue are important.

Responsibilities

The Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for the preschool (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's value base and mission and contains goals and guidelines for the work in the preschool. The children in the preschool are to receive a secure education where care, development, and learning form a whole. The work as a preschool teacher (barnskötare) means that together with the work team, you design a secure and developmental environment for the children. The work is challenging, exciting, and creative, and takes place in close collaboration with your work team and colleagues at the preschool. As a preschool teacher, you are part of a work team and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities offered to the children. You collaborate with the team to offer the children a fun and learning-rich environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a preschool teacher (barnskötare) or are studying to become one, alternatively another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is important that:

• you are familiar with our governing document, the Curriculum for the Preschool (Lpfö18),
• you are a secure and clear leader, have the ability to take initiative, are positive, and trust in children's various competencies,
• you value trustful relationships with children and guardians and have good collaboration skills,
• you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,
• you use image support and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication),
• you are interested in developing the preschool.

Very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a prerequisite for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Permanent position, full-time 100%.
