About the Workplace

Myran Preschool has four departments with 18 children in groups aged 1–5 years. The preschool is nicely situated in a quiet residential area where the yard is large with good play areas and the forest is just outside the fence.

Job Responsibilities

The role of a preschool assistant involves working together with the team to create a secure and developmental environment for the children in the preschool department. The curriculum's guidelines describe the responsibility you have within the team regarding the development, follow-up, and evaluation of the operations and education.

As a preschool assistant, you are part of a team and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities offered to the children. In collaboration with the team, the children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation in their social development.

Qualifications

Experience from working in a preschool, a preschool assistant education, or other experience deemed suitable by the employer. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Under the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

A valid extract from the police criminal record is mandatory and can be requested from Polisen.se.

Working Hours / Duration

Full-time, fixed-term position for the autumn term of the 2026 school year.
