Job Responsibilities

As a debt collection officer, you will handle unpaid and overdue loans in our collection system. We offer internal training for debt collection officers. Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Answering incoming calls and emails to our customer service
• Conducting respectful and clear conversations with debtors
• Handling cases with the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden), e.g., seizure, payment orders, and debt adjustment.
• Evaluating payment capacity and taking appropriate follow-up actions in cases
• Setting up installment plans adapted to the individual's situation
• Writing and adapting proposals based on the individual's situation
• Handling cases appropriately via mail and phone
• Performing simple financial and IT administration, e.g., registering payments, handling files to and from the Swedish Enforcement Authority

Background

Previous experience is a plus but not required. We provide the necessary internal training in debt collection management. A good background includes a high school education, valuing order and structure, ability to multitask, efficiency, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Location

Full-time position. Remote work up to 3 days and at least two days per week at our office in central Uppsala.

Payable AB is growing and seeking debt collection officers. Payable helps banks focus on their core business by purchasing overdue and terminated loans. Payable then works to find solutions for indebted individuals through guidance and establishing payment agreements. Our goal is to find fair and flexible solutions. Payable AB holds a license from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority to conduct debt collection activities.
