Your role with us

As a Family Therapist, you work on psychosocial change work together with children, young people, their families, and other persons important to the family. The work is carried out through qualified family conversations in different constellations.

The goal of family therapy is to strengthen parental skills and/or interaction skills, and to resolve relational, emotional, and behavioral problems in the whole or parts of the family. The families receive help to use their own competencies and abilities to manage their life puzzle. This takes place in Prisma's premises, in the families' homes, or at other locations.

Our work always starts from a systemic perspective, which means that we work with the entire network in the conversations. As a Family Therapist, you manage the assignment you receive from the family and create goals that the family is involved in. Regardless of which technique or method you start from, it is primarily relationship and communication that we strengthen in family interventions.

Irregular working hours in the evenings and on weekends may occur based on planning. You will be given the opportunity for continuous competence development in the work.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have a social work degree or another university/college education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant. It is an advantage if you have further education in family therapy. Furthermore, a few years of experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, parents, and families is required.

Documentation and communication are a large part of the work, which is why it is required that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You also need a B-driver's license for manual transmission and good cycling skills.

Prisma's work requires that you are good at using your own resources within given frameworks for the best result. As a person, you have the ability to work with other people, which means that you can listen, be unpretentious, and show respect. You notice and reward others' efforts.

When applicants are offered employment, anyone who in their work directly and regularly comes into contact with children must show an extract from the police's criminal record register according to regulations in 2013:852 the Social Services Act.

Kristianstad Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.
