Job Description
We are looking for an engaged activity leader who wants to create meaning, participation, and security for individuals within LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) activities conducted in the café at Garaget Library.
In the role of activity leader, you work as a solo supervisor and have significant responsibility for planning, structuring, and implementing activities based on the individual's abilities, needs, and interests. You work closely with the users and provide support to individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities. Through clarifying pedagogy and an individualized approach, you contribute to creating a predictable and understandable daily life.
The tasks consist of varied practical and operationally close moments in the café, with a focus on giving users the opportunity for development, participation, and meaningful engagement. Activities may include baking, simple food preparation, and sales in the café. You supervise and support users in their daily activities and adapt tasks and support based on individual needs and daily condition.
As an activity leader, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, follow-up, and development of the activity. The assignment includes documentation as well as the creation and follow-up of implementation plans, activity descriptions, and other individual action plans. You also have administrative and practical responsibilities that are important for the quality and execution of the activity.
Since the work involves significant personal responsibility, you are expected to make independent decisions, work solution-focused, and collaborate with various actors based on the user's best interest. You actively contribute to development and change work and strive to create structure, security, and good conditions for each individual.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education from the healthcare and care program, child and youth program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
The position requires at least two years of experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities. You also need experience working within daily activities and have good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction. You are expected to understand the intentions of the LSS legislation and be able to apply this knowledge in daily work with the individual's needs at the center.
You have good computer skills, can express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, and have knowledge of documentation according to current LSS requirements. Experience in solo work is meritorious, as is experience in food handling.
As a person, you have a good view of humanity, a respectful attitude, and a well-developed pedagogical ability. You are sensitive to the individual's communication and can adapt your support to different needs and situations. The role places high demands on independence, initiative, and responsibility, while you have good collaboration skills in contact with colleagues, relatives, and other partners. You are good at creating structure and conveying this clearly to contribute to security, predictability, and participation.
The Workplace
Daily activities according to LSS are directed towards individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, as well as individuals with acquired brain injuries in adulthood.
