About the Role

We are now looking for hourly client coaches for FrySiS and the Prison Service project – two of Fryshuset's operations that support young people placed within the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

As a client coach, you will meet with young people in vulnerable life situations and provide support, guidance, and motivation to create conditions for positive change.

The role includes, among other things:

• Visiting young people at SiS institutions, remand prisons, and correctional facilities
• Conducting meetings with youth in aftercare/post-release
• Conducting individual support and motivational interviews
• Holding group meetings and information sessions
• Participating in teams and collaborating on case processes
• Coordinating with authorities and other actors regarding the young person
• Documenting and following up on interventions

The work is performed both independently and in collaboration with colleagues within the FrySiS national network and the Prison Service project in Malmö. Travel is involved in the role.

We are primarily looking for you who want to work on an hourly basis as needed. For the right person, there may be an opportunity for a part-time employment in the future, depending on the organization's needs and funding.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Relevant education, such as social worker, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or other equivalent education
• Experience in social work with children and youth or client-facing work
• Experience meeting people in vulnerable situations
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits

• Experience working within SiS, the Prison Service, or other secure care facilities
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing (MI) or other conversation methodologies
• Experience with documentation and record keeping
• Experience working with treatment plans/goal-directed processes or similar
• Experience from the non-profit sector, municipality, or government agency
• Additional language skills

Other Information

Start Date: According to agreement

Employment Type: Hourly employment as needed. We are currently building a group of client coaches for FrySiS and are therefore looking for several hourly employees. For those who wish to engage long-term in the operations, there may be an opportunity for part-time employment later on, depending on needs and funding.

Location: Malmö

The position is covered by a collective agreement between Fremia and Unionen/Academic Professionals SSR.
