Gransäterskolan is looking for a teacher in Mathematics/Science for lower secondary school (100%)

Gransäterskolan is a two-stream school for grades 1–9 with approximately 500 students, where safety, relationships, and a clear focus on knowledge with high expectations permeate the operations. Our facilities also house the municipality's special education group, Aspen, which contributes broad competence and an inclusive perspective.

We develop our teaching to create good conditions for all students' learning and development. Collaboration with external actors, such as the police and social services, is a natural part of our preventive and safety-building work at the lower secondary level.

Responsibilities

You will teach Mathematics and Science at the lower secondary level and serve as a mentor for students. The role includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching according to the curriculum, as well as collaborating closely with colleagues, student health services, guardians, and, if necessary, external agencies such as the police and social services to support the students' overall development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Science and Mathematics for grades 7–9
• has a good ability to create safe relationships and a structured learning environment
• sees the value of collaboration and collegial learning
• has strong subject didactic skills and works systematically with clear goals, assessment, and follow-up according to the curriculum's guidelines
• wants to contribute to the school's continued development and collaborate with both internal and external actors

It is an advantage if you have qualifications in all three Science subjects.
