Järlåsa School is located approximately 25 km west of Uppsala. Communications are good with bus traffic every half hour. We are a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) and also have a leisure center for students in grades F to 3. Järlåsa School has just over 100 students and is situated with "the forest right up to the doorstep". We have a large schoolyard and fine, purpose-built facilities. The school has a large, beautiful, and fresh sports hall. In winter, there is an ice rink on the yard, and next to the school, there is a nice running track and nature.

Description of Duties

As a PE teacher for grades F-6 at Järlåsa School, you inspire movement and community by planning and leading teaching in physical education and health according to the curriculum goals. You contribute to a safe and inclusive environment where all students can develop based on their prerequisites. In collaboration with colleagues and guardians, you help children discover the joy of movement and strengthen both their motor and social skills. The PE teacher role comprises approximately 50%.

In the afternoons, you work at our leisure center where you, individually and together with colleagues, plan and carry out activities based on the curriculum and the students' interests.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with a specialization in physical education and health. You have good language skills, both spoken and written. Experience in teaching PE and preferably also in leisure time activities is an advantage.

You have the ability to lead, motivate, and empower others with the authority required to effectively achieve common goals. In the work team, you become a natural reference point for others, creating engagement and participation.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
