Hummelstaskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 270 students located just outside Enköping. Short commuting distance from both Enköping and Västerås to the school. The workplace consists of approximately 30 employees.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a special needs teacher in mathematics, you play a central role in both supporting individual students and contributing to the overall development of teaching. The assignment includes working closely with students in need of special support through targeted interventions both in the classroom and, if necessary, in smaller groups, as well as monitoring and analyzing their knowledge development. An important part of the work is the preventive and relational work in the classroom, where you, together with teachers, create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching so that more students can succeed within the framework of regular instruction. You function as a support in planning, implementation, and follow-up, contributing with both a special pedagogical perspective and subject didactic competence.

The assignment also involves developing mathematics teaching at the school. You are involved in collegial learning, drive questions regarding working methods and approaches, and contribute with new perspectives that strengthen students' understanding and motivation. We would like you to be curious, proactive, and willing to try new paths to develop teaching.

The work is a 1-year temporary position with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a qualified special needs teacher for grades preschool to 6 and who have extensive experience in conducting special pedagogical work with students in these grades. You also have competence and experience in conducting pedagogical investigations as well as knowledge of various screening methods. Furthermore, you have competence in systematic quality work and experience in successfully implementing systematic quality work within mathematics teaching.

As a person, you are good at seeing the big picture and taking the larger perspective into account. You understand your role while keeping the best interests of the entire operation in mind in your actions and decisions. You work well with other people and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You also easily take in and see opportunities with new ideas, methods, and ways of working. You drive and implement change where needed.
