Vattholmaskolan is a single-stream F-6 school with approximately 175 students. The school offers dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues who collaborate closely with each other, the school management, and the student health services. Vattholmaskolan has a long tradition of high results regarding both knowledge and safety. The school is located in the middle of the village but is still close to nature and open outdoor environments. There are good transport links; you can reach the school easily by bus and train. If you drive, it takes approximately 25 minutes from Uppsala.

Description of Duties

You teach all theoretical subjects according to the curriculum plan. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the national curriculum. You assess and document students' knowledge and conduct development conferences. You actively work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes students' social and academic development. You are expected to adapt teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites.

The role includes being a clear and secure leader in the classroom, creating structure and a conducive study environment, and building good relationships with students. It involves collaborating with colleagues and student health services to promote students' learning and well-being. A key part of the role is maintaining a close and professional dialogue with guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades F-3.

You have good pedagogical insight and a strong understanding of how students acquire knowledge based on their different prerequisites. You adapt your teaching and explanation style so that all students have the opportunity to develop. You collaborate easily with colleagues, are attentive in communication, and contribute to a positive work climate by sharing, listening, and handling challenges in the classroom and the work team in a constructive way.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on war duty (civil defense).
