About the Workplace

Lunaskolan, an adapted primary school, is centrally located in Håbo Municipality and has approximately 35 students who follow the curriculum for subjects and subject areas.

The operations are characterized by a strong relational approach with a focus on accessible learning. This means that every student is given the prerequisites to participate in teaching and community based on their own needs and conditions. In close collaboration with the student, guardian, and school health services, we create a learning environment that is adapted, inclusive, and developmental.

Your Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you work during both school hours and after-school care. You follow the students throughout their entire day and serve as an important support in both learning and social development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support in teaching situations.
• Assistance during activities, such as in the water during swimming lessons.
• Support during meals and personal care, hygiene, and dining.
• Meeting and managing challenging and disruptive behaviors.

You are expected to be a secure adult and role model, actively participate in all parts of the operations, and work towards set goals. It is important that you take initiative and contribute to good collaboration with colleagues and students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have completed upper secondary education and are at least 18 years old.
• Preferably have pedagogical or care-oriented education.
• Have experience working with children and young people, especially within disability support.

The following are considered meritorious:

• Experience with LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations.
• Knowledge of visual support and Sign Support (TAKK).
• Experience with low-affective interaction.

This is a fixed-term position.
