Description

Rotskärsskolan is a lower secondary school with approximately 180 students in grades 7–9. As a career counselor here, you play an important role in supporting students' future educational and career choices. You work both preventively and guidance-oriented through individual conversations, group initiatives, and information to students and guardians. The assignment includes guiding students before their upper secondary school choice and contributing to developing students' decision-making competence, self-awareness, and knowledge of educational paths and working life. You collaborate closely with the principal, teachers, student health services, and external actors. You contribute to making career counseling a natural part of the school's joint work.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a career counselor. You have experience working in schools and have good ability to plan, implement, and follow up on guidance initiatives for both individuals and groups. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and can adapt your guidance based on the student's needs.

You are:

Valid ID and Right to Work in Sweden

To work at Älvkarleby Municipality, you must be able to show a valid ID document showing your citizenship. In some cases, you also need to show a document proving that you have the right to work in Sweden. If offered employment, you must be able to show one of the following:

• Passport
• Driver's license
• SIS-marked ID card together with a certificate of residence showing citizenship
• Other valid ID document where citizenship is clearly stated

If you are a citizen of a country outside Sweden, EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also show that you have the right to work in Sweden (e.g., residence or work permit).
