Temporary Position: English Language Teacher at the Training Unit, Air Combat School

The Air Combat School (LSS) is seeking a Temporary English Language Teacher. The position is located at the Training Unit (UtbE) in Uppsala.

About the Unit

The Training Unit is a central part of the Air Combat School (LSS) and collaborates closely with the Headquarters, the Air Staff, defense schools, and air wings. Our task is to create conditions for the Air Force's future personnel and competence supply by leading, coordinating, ensuring quality, and developing educational activities. We are part of Sweden's active defense effort.

About the Role

Work as an English teacher, including subject-specific content in a military context. Prepare, conduct, and follow up on language education. Perform assessment and grading of students. Participate in functional coordination and development work within the language subject. Conduct language education at schools, units, etc., outside of LSS. If necessary, support other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces with language proficiency.

In this role, you are responsible for the English subject at LSS. Your main tasks include subject development, education, and quality assurance.

A sub-task is to collaborate and support course directors with planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of activities related to the unit's service branch training.

Qualifications

• Academic degree, at least a Bachelor's, in the relevant language or equivalent knowledge area
• Professional experience in language teaching
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
