The role of Lead Employer Branding Strategist involves developing and driving the organization's global employer branding strategy with the aim of strengthening the ability to attract, engage, and retain talent across all markets. In this role, you ensure that employer branding initiatives are clearly anchored in business priorities, talent strategy, and overarching organizational goals.
You work closely with key stakeholders across functions and geographies, building strong relationships to create alignment, relevance, and impact in employer branding efforts.
This is a consultancy assignment with our automotive client in Gothenburg, starting on August 3rd and running until August 31, 2027.

About the RoleYou will develop and implement integrated employer branding strategies across both internal and external channels. The role involves creating an attractive Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and effective communication strategies for talent attraction, while ensuring a unified and consistent experience at all candidate and employee touchpoints.
You work in a data-driven manner, utilizing market insights, employer brand analysis, talent insights, and employee feedback to continuously develop and optimize the organization's employer branding efforts. You operate within a complex global matrix organization and serve in an advisory capacity to senior stakeholders. You identify opportunities to strengthen the organization's attractiveness as an employer and drive initiatives that create clear and measurable business value.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will among other things:
- Develop and drive global employer branding strategies aligned with business and talent goals.
- Work independently with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy to deliver on agreed goals and strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and influence key stakeholders across different functions, business areas, and geographies.
- Lead large, cross-functional, and often global initiatives from strategy to execution with limited oversight.
- Use market data, talent insights, and employer brand analysis as the basis for strategic decisions and development.
- Ensure a unified and effective presence across all channels, campaigns, and in the candidate and employee experience.
- Act as a subject matter expert in employer branding and talent attraction, contributing a strategic perspective.
- Coach and guide colleagues and stakeholders through influence, even without formal line management responsibility.
- Navigate complex and sometimes ambiguous challenges requiring strategic holistic thinking and sound judgment in a global organization.
- Identify, develop, and spread best practices and innovative ways of working to strengthen the employer brand and attract the right talent.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- 8+ years of experience in employer branding, HR communication, talent acquisition, or a similar strategic role.
- Experience working in global and complex matrix organizations.
- Documented experience leading and driving large, cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with a habit of working in a data-driven manner.
- Experience developing EVP and employer branding strategies that enhance attractiveness.
- Excellent communication skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take significant ownership, and navigate complex environments.
- An academic degree in communication, marketing, or equivalent is advantageous.
